HEREDITARY DISEASES
There are 5 know hereditary diseases in the Bull Terrier breed, Polycystic
Kidney Disease, Nephritis, Heart Disease, Luxating Patella and Deafness. For a

All our breeding stock are tested clear of the 5 know hereditary disease before
they are breed from, this occurs testing after 12 months of age. This testing is done at a
Specialist Veterinary Clinic by a Specialist Veterinarian. We supply copies of
these papers upon request for stud dogs and a copy is included in our puppy
books for puppy guardians.
We believe that it is vital to test every generation before breeding to improve the health of all puppies that are born. At 6 weeks of age all our puppies are taken to the University of Queensland for their B.A.E.R. testing (hearing test), to ensure all puppies can hear from both ears.
